What is the first-time student selection criteria?

Honors College applications are reviewed holistically. Additional details about criteria are:

• The John Martinson Honors College admits only future college freshmen who have completed the Honors College portion of their Purdue Application by November 1st.
• The selection process for Honors College invitations is holistic. GPA, test scores, aptitude for interdisciplinary learning, leadership and engagement are all considered.
• Students must agree to complete the Honors College curriculum.
• If you are admitted to the Honors College, you must accept your admission through your MyPurdue portal. Accepting Purdue admission and accepting Honors College admission are separate processes. You must accept your offer to the Honors College no later than May 5.
• The deadline to submit a valid housing contract is May 5. However, students admitted for the fall semester are given priority in our Honors Residential Communities if they complete a housing contract by April 15.

The Honors College does not have a minimum high school GPA, SAT, or ACT score requirement.
